ANDERSEN 2025

The year 2025 marks the 220th birthday and 150th death anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen, one of the most important poets and storytellers in world literature.

Calambac Verlag is taking this double anniversary as an opportunity to publish a special three-volume edition of his work.

The first volume is dedicated to Andersen's poems. Although best known for his fairy tales, Andersen was also an outstanding poet. This collection of poems will contain a careful selection of his poetic texts, which are characterised by melancholy and a close connection to nature.

The second volume includes Andersen's best-known fairy tales, complemented by lesser-known stories. Classics such as The Princess and the Pea stand alongside hidden gems.

The third volume presents his autobiography, which provides an insight into the author's life and thoughts.

These editions honour Hans Christian Andersen as one of the great poets and storytellers of world literature.
